Question:

How to clean 40 year old copper water pipes of calcium build up?

The house is 40 years old. Original copper pipes are still being used. Water pressure can be low. Probably due to calcium build up in pipes. Can these pipes be unclogged? How?

Answer:

No. I had low water pressure in my pipes and I replaced them and now I have full pressure
Vinegar might help to get rid of the buildup. Calcium and acids don't go well together. Maybe you could ask someone who is in the plumbing business. Sure they would give you some advice.
