Question:

How to disarm an aftermarket car alarm?

I had a Viper alarm installed in my 2004 Mustang when I bought it 4 years ago. I thought it had stopped working about 3 years ago and never had it checked out. I moved out of state and left all my junk including the remote and manual at home w/ my parents. Yesterday my original car bettery died so i had to buy and install a new one. All of a sudden the Viper car alarm started going off! I didn't know what to do and I just wanted it to stop, so I cut out the speaker. But my car is still flashing like the alarm is going off. Where exactly can I find the brain? By pressing the valet button does that stop the alarm forever, or will it go off again the next time I start my car? I hate this alarm, I just want it gone, can I cut it out w/out messing anything up w/ my car?

Answer:

Yep, time to cut the cord. Why are you paying for a cell phone for an adult who is not working or going to school? I would have insisted he start paying for that, as well as his gas and insurance, while he was still in high school. How can he possibly afford to go to concerts or party unless you are giving him money? No more money from you. I would also cut the internet when I am not using it. Heck, I wouldn't even bring home food for him. If he wants to eat, he needs to get a job and buy food. Hunger is what attitude and laziness buy you, and he might as well learn that now. (The nice kid will most likely come back at some point. You just need to tough it out. But if you continue to subsidize his laziness and irresponsibility that will be his lifestyle for years to come.)
The Lancer and Galant are two different cars. So, no. Why do you wanna fag up a car that's not even two years old with a body kit? I really hope you meant a lip kit. Use that money for something better, like a cold air intake, or ECU flash.
