how do i fix the noisy wheel. It keeps me up all night!! i cant afford to buy a new wheel? any ideas?
That same thing happened to me! So, I asked my mom, and she said that if you oil the center piece of the wheel with cooking oil, (that way if they lick the oil, it won't cause them any harm.) it will be silent. I tried it, and sure enough, it worked! But, it was alot of work to oil it so often. There is a special type of wheel called a Silent Spinner. We bought that, and our problems were solved! So, I would either oil the wheel, or, buy a silent spinner. Worked for me!
my hamsters wheel was also noisy! I just used olive oil and whipped it down real well. This should keep your hamsters wheel quite for about 3-4 months. If it makes noise again just keep applying! and since your hamster cant reach the oil this solution is very safe!!! Good Luck and Hope this helped!
