Question:

How to get smell out of carpet?

How do you get a vomit smell out of carpet? Is there something around the house I can use or is there a certain product needed? What would work best?No jokes please! Thanks!

Answer:

febreze, just spray it on the carpet.
Once you've cleaned as well as you can, spray the spot with Lysol..
We have a hoover that washes the carpet its sprays down a shampoo water solution brushes it in then sucks it up it smells gooooood.
First, sop up any remaining vomit from the carpet then clean with soap and water, a commercial carpet cleaner, or even a Scrubbing Bubbles type cleaner (I use this on carpet stains all the time) or an enzymatic cleaner like Oxy Clean. Let dry and vacuum. Some of the odor should be removed now. Next, liberally apply dry baking soda to the area. You should completely cover the area with a thin layer of the baking soda. Next, use a damp sponge to rub it into the carpeting. Then sprinkle more baking soda on top. Let this sit overnight. Vacuum. The carpet should smell completely fresh. Good luck = )
