Answer:

Do what stores do hang a bell up so the door hits it when it is opened. Or you can get a door alarm. We got one from a place like Home depo it stuck to the our cabinet door inside the cabinet. When opened a very loud alarm would sound. It can easily work for any kind of door too since it sticks on not needed in nails or screws. We used it when our youngest two kids would sneak candy at night. We put the alarm on late one night we heard little foot steps down the hall. My husband I actually laughed knowing it would startle them. We heard a chair drag across the floor hit the cabinet. We then heard the alarm go off, a startled yell feet running fast back to bed. We didn't say anything to them but later that day my son said That scared me so bad, mommy. I won't do that again. lol They never did.
what okorder /search/search-ng.... If not maybe you could wrap a bungee cord around the handle (tightly) and pull the other end to a large screw attached high onto the wall, so the only way it could be opened is if you reach up and unattach the wall side of the cord. This is just in case you get a door alarm (very good idea!) but somehow the child runs through the door so fast that the alarm doesn't phase them.
