Question:

how to keep my puppy off of the sofa?

i have a 4 month old puppy cockerspaniel who keeps going on the sofa which she is not allowed to do.how can i stop her form doing this? thanks

Answer:

we've 3 great dogs and the suited situation we did to maintain them off is set cardbord on the settee seat in a flat way, dogs do not in basic terms like the feel of it, you additionally can use some forms of paper, it labored for or dogs.
Watch her carefully, and when you see her jump up on the sofa, say no and remove her. She will learn you do not want her up there, but you must catch this as soon as she jumps up and you must be consistent. If you don't want her up there, she must never be allowed to jump up on the sofa.
make it hard for her to get on it, put pillows and stuff in the way. Scare her...clap and yell no! and pick her up and put her off (I know it sounds mean, but since you won't have to keep doing it once she stops she'll get over it) You can also get a squirt gun and squirt her every time she gets on it, and say No! Also, make sure there is a good alternative for her, like a pillow or blanket or another piece of furniture that she is allowed on.
First you should make him/her a comfy spot off the sofa but close to it. And when he/her sits there not the sofa give him/her a treat.
Aww... I blow up balloons and put they on the sofa and cover the balloons with a sheets the next time your dog jumps on your sofa or bed POP... It's worked for me with four generations of border collies.
