Question:

How to know what hockey stick to buy?

Hey im fairly new to hockey and was looking to buy a new hockey stick. The question i have is most senior hockey sticks are too tall for me and i need to cut them down a little bit to be down to my chin or just below, and doing that ruins the flex. I‘m 20 years old 5‘11 and 150 pounds. I tend to shoot mainly wrist shots and snap shots as well.If anyone can give me some help on getting the right stick that would be awesome!

Answer:

The Easton S17 actually has marks on the top of the shaft that tell you what the flex would be if you cut the stick at that point. Even if you don't want to buy one of those sticks, that could help you to figure out what the flex might be on a stick you've cut down.
CCM U+ about an 80-85 flex with a Thornton curve or whatever curve you are used to. Get a Senior Int. is too small.
If there are no longer any seen leaks at ur lines u will ought to take off the wheels the verify the wheel cylinders and or calipres--in the event that they are leaking that's a ought to to repair them as quickly as available
I am 5'11 and about 160 (21yrs old) I have a Bauer 0ne95 Gagne Curve 87 Flex I LOVE it! Since we are smaller and not as heavy the lower the flex number the better since it is measured by weight. 87 flex, for instance, would require 87 pounds force to bend the shaft 1 inch. Do not get anything more than 102. I have had Thornton, Gagne, Sakic, Lindros, Crosby, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Malkin and Kane curves and. Gagne's is by far the best for wristshots and snapshots. It does lack the backhand the Datsyuk has tho. Below is an OKorder link to see the stick i mentioned
