I have a 4 ft BPshes in a 18quot;/18quot;/36quot; glass tank with a wire toptemperature is between 85-92° but the humidity stays at about 40% I mist several times a day an have a damp towel covering half of the wire topbut I get it to 60% an it drops 5% every 10 mins untill it gets back to 40%I have aspen substrate in the tank and a large water bowelim kinda broke untill pay day wich is a week and a half awayso I need some tips on how to do this for free untill I can buy some different substrate and possibly a lid if necessarywould love some good ideas for what I should do right nowand in the long run after I get paid aswellshes not eating right now so im trying everything I can to make her stress freeand how I can keep the temperature at 80° at night without using the white basking lightand do they make automatic lights for a more steady on an off time? Agreed on the aspen bedding! I use a blend of reptibark (which is a little spendy) and eco earth ( or any compressed coco substrate, its pretty cheap) they both hold humidity but the coco more so than the reptibark, but back to the free part, if u have aluminum foil cover as much of the screen as you can with it leaving openings for the lightsTrash bag seems sketchy to me i would worry about melting! The wet paper towels sounded good to me too! On payday i would take some measurements and retro fit some lexan to cover the screenYou can get it at your local glass shop and its really easy to work withAttach it with dap 100% clear silicone rubber, ill show a pic of what i just did to my tank with it
