How do I prevent unauthorised laptops from accessing the wired lan network - the wired lan network has about 10 machines on it - 9 desktops and 1 laptop. I want to prevent unauthorised laptops from plugging in physically to the network - by removing the CAT 5 cable and plugging in the same to the laptop - and then accessing information on the entire network.
That's a pretty good one. There was a famous atheist who had a public debate with a (Christian) preacher (I'm sorry - I can't remember who either of them were). At one point, the atheist asked the preacher if he believed in Buddha, to which the preacher responded no. Then the atheist asked if the preacher believed in Vishnu, or Zeus, or any other non-Christian God, and the preacher confirmed that he did not believe in any of them. The atheist then said, so really, we're both atheists. I just believe in one less God than you do.
Check the relay. I am sure you can change the switches yourself. Before you buy any switch you can use a jump wire to make sure that is the problem.
