How to reconnect chewed wires?

cat chewed two wires computer speaker wireand wii sensor bar wire well i can't just buy new ones or replace the wire so i need to reconnect them some how using insulated ferrules and electric tape and wire strippers any suggestions how to do this properly do i crimp them together with insulated ferrules or solder them together?what else can i do?i'm clueless how this worksneed help

Answer:

twist them together and wire nut them
My bird bit my phone cord in two pieces. Looked like a clean cut. I just stripped the wires, twisted each side together, then taped well with electrical tape. Now I keep all wires off of the floor.
A temporary fix would be to strip about 1/2 to 3/8 inch of insulation off each wire and twist appropriate wires together and fasten with wire nuts. A permanent fix would be to strip and twist then solder then cover with electrical tape and only electrical tape, no duct or masking tape.
How To Reconnect Wires
The wire nut option would work but wouldn't look the best. I would go to your local hardware store and get a butt connector and some shrink tubing. Slide the shrink tube over the wire. Then place each end of your wire into the butt connector(be sure to remove appr. 3/8 of insulation). Crimp the connector onto the wire. Slide the shrink tubing to cover the connector and heat with lighter. This will give a smooth, finished look. Much cleaner than tape.
