I currently take all my recyclables to a general city drop-off siteHowever, I don't know much about the process but have read a lot about how inefficient it is (especially in a small city like mine) and how even stuff advertised as 'recycled' still uses a large amount of 'virgin' materialThat being said, does anyone have any advice/suggestions on how I can better use my recyclables?For example, aluminum cans can be donated here to a local auto shop which uses them to make aluminum rims for carsSo that's directly getting a useMagazines can be given to local schools to be used for art/photography projectsHowever, I don't have any ideas for glass or plasticAnything???
