Question:

how to solve attic condensation?

I had a very bad problem with condensation in my attic last winter i got my attic insulated and i put in extra vents as well and it still didn't solve the problemhow can i solve the problem for this winter please help thanks

Answer:

Are you sure the vents were done correctly? There should be soffit vents running along the eves of the house to let fresh air in to the attic space, and a full-length ridge vent to let air outThe insulation on the attic floor must stop short of the eves, so this airflow isn't obstructedThere must be a vapor barrier between the insulation, and the ceiling of the top living-space floorAlso: check that any bathroom or kitchen vent fans are exhausted outside the house, and not into the attic space or soffits.
Sure, they can be painted, but for best results be sure that an etching primer is used to promote paint adherenceWithout using an etching primer the new paint will flake off within months and look like crap.
