Question:

how to stop 10 month old dog jumping on sofa?

My 10 month old pup constantly jumps on the sofa this drives my husband mad. If you try to get him off the sofa he will turn to bite you. Any tips

Answer:

You two need to establish just who is boss in your house. As for the jumping on the sofa..why does this bother the husband? My dogs do it all the time. I expect that. They are welcome to the furniture if they want. Except our bed at night. We tell them to Go night night and they'll sleep on the floor. If you two don't want him on the couch, teach him the command of get down or something like that. When he obeys, get down and play with him.
I mean of course you're going to need to correct your dog, but being positive and encouraging your dog works a lot faster and easier. Every dog is different, so unless you have a german shepherd or a really smart dog, it might take a while to train her. You might get frustrated with her, but go easy. She's still a puppy and has a lot of energy. A backyard or somewhere to run will help her get rid of a lot of energy that might cause her to misbehave from boredom.
Wow. Forget about the sofa for the time being. The first thing you need to address is the fact that he will turn and bite you! Is this the only situation in which he shows aggression?
put a nice soft comfy dog bed on the floor we have a dog bed that looks like a sofa so they feel the same as u go on the floor with the dog and make the bed seem like a really great thing when he jumps on the sofa go off! or down! don't shout but use a firm voice if they don't get off stand up turn your back and walk out of the room come back in when the dog is off the sofa when he jumps on your lap while your on the sofa stand up and turn your back hope this helps :)
he will turn and bite you Your problem goes WAY beyond getting your dog off the sofa. Find a GOOD trainer (not the local big box pet store trainer), and learn how to make your dog behave. Google NILF training as well - nothing in life is free - one of the best ways to have a well-trained dog.
