Question:

How to store tires in winter and summer outside?

Hi, I don't have space inside the garage or basement to store tires. I would like to know the best way to keep my all season tires in winter outside and my winter tires in summer outside. Thank you very much

Answer:

No, I did not know that you had been suspended. I thought that you were just taking a break from Answers. But it is good to see that you have returned. And yes, I think that your situation shows that the system, while not perfect, does sometimes work.
aww no fair, my account got suspended for no reason around the same time as yours and they never restored it. I was a level 6 top contributor and sent yahoo like 10 messages asking them to restore it, but they never did. It's kinda funny, though, I've gotten like 5 messages from people asking if I was you. Yahoo needs to start actually reading the answers and questions that get reported before sending out violation notices. Though I do understand that there are too many reports a day for yahoo to actually take the time to read them all.
i would say to wrap them up in a tarp or sort and keep them out of the sun/moisture. /// all season tires are not as good in the snow as winter tires are, ///
The most common practice is putting wood planks down and parking on top of them. The goal is to keep them elevated as to prevent overexposing them to moisture. Moisture, heat, sun, and ozone accelerate dry rot or weathering. If you keep them dry, dark, and elevated tires will last 20+ years. Taking the weight off of them wouldn't hurt either, but if that's not possible then make sure they don't go flat, sitting on them flat causes internal sheering when they crease. I pulled the tires currently on my truck out of the back corner of the warehouse where they've been having birhtdays since before 1992 (that's when we installed the database) and they're like new.
all season tires? now i wonder why would need winter tire if your buying all season tire think that what they are make for all season driving your wasting your money but really you can buy a tarp lay it on th eground throw tire on tarp then wrap it over top of tires you could just lean them up against the back of house you could hang them in a treebut then im still thinking why your buying all season tire and winter tire when one all season is made to do both.but here you go
