Question:

How would I go about making a rubber band-powerd boat with balsa wood?

I have 5 1/8 x 3 x 36 in sheets of balsa wood, and I need to make a boat that will move by itself using rubberbands, and I need some help. Any ideas? Thank you.

Answer:

God is omnipotent. The god can make giant piles of crap disappear, but cannot wipe childhood cancer off the face of the earth? I don't think so. New myth: He had an elevator that lifted the animals poop to the top deck where the rain washed it away. That's where they get the term poop deck. It had nothing to do with the French word for stern.. That's just a coincidence. More importantly, why did the god drown all the innocent children and babies in the world? Seems a tad extreme.
I'm just curious why you're paying to have it done. Small engine carbs are easy, you can practically make one from pipe fittings. They're super easy to take apart, clean everything out, put everything back together again. I just got a nearly-new Honda mower for the low low price of $10 because the previous owner couldn't get it to start. One $4.00 can of carb cleaner, one set of metric sockets, one teenaged son and one hour later, I've had a pleasant afternoon and my kid is off mowing the yard with a new mower. Can't keep it running, hmm? Is there a fuel shutoff? You did remember to open that, right? I only ask because I've had the headslap moment vis-a-vis the fuel shutoff more than once.
On my Clyde I use a loose ring jointed snaffle. For my mare I use a couple of different things. Normally I use a bitless bridle on her, but for shows I use a copper roller D ring. When I need a little extra control I have a few different ones that I use. Pelham, kimberwick (thats prolly not spelled correctly), full cheek snaffle with copper roller, or a full cheek myler bit. My colt will be started in either a happy mouth loose ring snaffle or a HM full cheek.
