Imagine you are trapped in a room and the only way out is a small metal door which you cant open from the inside. How would you go about getting out without any explosives?:P Trying to find a creative solution for my book-project.
Any door will have hinges if nobody is holding it or blocking it from the outside I would just kick it open or shoulder it until it opens from the screws loosening.
It all depends on the details. What type of metal is the door. What are the walls made of. If it is a normal wall like you probably have in your house, you can easily kick thru one layer of drywall.
well, in that case i would hope my roomie was a female and then we would hop off each others shoulders and make love until the bad guy came and cut us up. might as well go out satisfied...sexually. shoot! can we have shrimp cocktails, wine, a small ceaser salad, 2X baked potato, and a small beef fillet, medium rare? IF there is a lock i would try and pick the lock. can i have a crow bar or maybe a saws all or an oxy/acceteline rig? i'll just rip the hinges off the door with my teeth...then we go eat and F! AMEN!
What is the room made from? Metal also, brick, cement? Or like rooms today where you could punch a hole in the wall with almost no force? I would just break through the wall if it were JUST a room with a METAL door. Hope any of this helps with your project. Other than that if you are with nothing to use and the room were all metal well that's pretty much F-ed.
Interesting problem! ... OK, you don't say if there is anything else in the room. I will presume that the door is made of steel and opens toward you, and there is no handle or other protuberance you could pull on. I will also presume that there is no latch or other means holding it shut except possibly gravity, only that you have no way to grip it to pull it open. Ok, so you look around the room and find a few items in a box in the corner... a long spool of insulated wire, a car battery and a steel rod about half a meter long. This makes a possibility... an electromagnet! So you wind the wire around the rod, connect it to the car battery and use it to pull the door open to exit the room. Does this work for your story?
