Question:

Hydronic radiant heat underneath the subfloor between rafters vs hydronic baseboard heat?

Is the hydronic radiant heat that is installed between rafters underneath subfloor with aluminum plates more efficient to heat your home than the typical hydronic baseboard heat?I understand there are a few different types of hydronic radiant heat, but for this comparison, I am talking strictly about the hydronic radiant heat pex tubes that are attached to aluminum plates that go under the entire floor between floor below's ceiling joistsFor instance, on a single story ranch, if you wanted to heat the first floor, you would attach these aluminum plates to the basement ceiling between the joists right under the upstairs subfloorThis is the kind of hydronic radiant heat I am asking for an efficiency comparison to as opposed to hydronic baseboard heatThanks.
