Question:

Cold air intake for 2004 honda civic?

I am buying a 2004 civic lx/ex very soon.I dont want to rice it up very much, but i want it to perform well and look nice.i was wondering how much a cold air intake (KM or AEM or something close) would cost AND the installation. i like cars, but really dont have the time to install the parts myself. And also, is there an easy way to get a deeper sound from the exhaust without it being heard miles away? like a nice sound that isnt too loud.sorry for being a noob, but help is needed.thanks.- i will choose the best answer within 3 days.

Answer:

first off sears does not do lifetime warranty it is life of tire warranty big difference!! as for the roadhazard (which is only good for 4 years on replacement, but life of tire on repairs) it is on the tires you have purchased not the car so to both your questions the answer is on the tires not the car. the warranty does not transfer to new owners.
That would depend on how the warranty is worded. Normally, warranties for tires that you pay extra for are for the vehicle that they were installed on.
first off, we all started off as noobs. A cold air kit is a cold air kit. I've had friends that have made them for $20 and they work just as well as a $200 one. you can go to a parts store and buy all of the components or buy a complete one off Ebay, they have some for about $25. I bought one and replaced the included cone filter with a KN. it took me 10 min. to install mine fallowing the included instuctions. It's easy, even for a noob! You have to start somewhere, that would be a good start. as far as exauhst, the bigger the fart can you put on it the louder and deeper its going to be. my buddies accourd has a 4 outlet on his muffler and it is insanely loud, but sounds really good. Get greasy, have fun, you wont be a noob for long.
