I am going to get surgery in a month how long will it take before i can walk?I am a adminstrative asst i do lite desk work however my apt is on the 5 th floor no elevator I drive to work???I need to know people I donot want to loose my job!!!!

Answer:

I just asnwered your first guestion and saw this one Well, you will probably be out of work for 1-2 weeks; on cruches for about 4 weeks5th floor, no elevator will be toughI would suggest staying with someone else on a lower floor for the first week or just dont leave the houseYou will be a pro going up and down stairs w/cruches before is all over, but you do not need to risk a fall the first or second week Im having my surgery the last week in Feb and am not planning on driving for two weeks But it really depends on how fast you recover and what the range of motion of your knee is? I would plan on two weeks off, (could be sooner, all depends you and your knee)good luck
The only way I know of is oil (like gun oil) or rustoleum paintBut it would work for any other metal objects You probably wouldn't want to use either on pots/pans though.
They say that experienced Harley Riders coat there bikes with Petroleum Jelly before they go out for a ride in the rain or to store there bikes as well I have done it to an out door shower that costs $2500 (head and faucet) it works well
There are some anti-rust solutions and sprays that are sold at the supermarket!I think that might help.
