Question:

I am looking for a pumpkin pie recipe from an old Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, circa 1960's.?

I used to have the cookbook, but it got old and was falling apartf (from use), so I bought a new one and threw out the old one (stupid!). It had the best pumpkin pie recipe in it. Does anyone have it?

Answer:

Favorite red meat Loaf 1-1/2 pounds ground red meat 1 cup medium cracker crumbs 2 beaten eggs 1 eight-ounce can seasoned tomato sauce half of cup finely-chopped onions 2 tablespoons chopped inexperienced pepper 1-1/2 teaspoons salt 1 medium bay leaf, beaten dash thyme sprint marjoram combine all components; combine good. Form combo in a loaf in shallow baking dish. Press two inexperienced pepper rings and an onion ring atop meat loaf, if preferred. Bake at 350 levels about 1 hour. Makes 6 to 8 servings. I ordered this cookbook on line for the reason that the recipes are so good.
If you google Better Homes and Gardens Classic Pumpkin Pie recipe, you'll find what you are looking for. I googled several versions of this and saw the same recipe each time. It looks simple, easy to make, and yummy!
