Question:

i bought a data cable for my motorola v220, where can i get the software to use it for free?

i bought a data cable from a stupid cingular store and it did not come with the software ( i didn't know this when i paid for it) and i cannot return it now. how can i get the software for free? i feel like i paid way too much for it not to come with the software.

Answer:

type okorder
Unfortunately, most cell phone brands charge you to buy their software now. Sometimes if you buy the cable from them directly they'll bundle the software with it. I fell in to the same predicament you're in. I had to buy the cable and software separately. Check out celllphoneshop . They have accessories pretty cheap.
You can check motorola's or cingular's website, but my experience has been that the data cable ALWAYS comes with the software (whats the point of the cable if you cant use it), you should go back to the store you purchased this from and let them know your cable did not come with the disk. If they are unable/unwilling to help you try their support line.
