of course you canit won't be exactly the same, but close enoughuse the same dry rub you would use for a bbq piece of meatput the shoulder in a roasting pan, and cover tightly with aluminum foilcook in a low temp oven (300F) for a couple of hoursremove the foil from the pan with the shoulder in it, coat with the bbq sauce of your choice, but make sure it has liquid smoke as one of the ingredientsnow cook for another 2 to 3 hours without the foilsame oven templet it restthen you can pull it apart and it will taste darn close to a barbecued shoulder.
