M14 weighs 8.7 lbs M14 with full mag and sling weighs 11 lbs So taking the weight of the sling off, your looking at about 2 lbs per full magSo Shawn hit it right on the head.
I use HEAVY DUTY foil spray it with Pam, works great and then you also dont have to layer it either
