Question:

Plumbing, Pipesblack specks?

I don't know if it's the pipes, something with plumbing or the water supply, though I doubt it's water supply. Anyway, in the main bathroom, when we turn the water on HOT, and mostly full blast hot water, tons of little black specks come out. We've changed the faucet, but that didn't workWe've lived in this house for 10 years and it's the same thing every single time. Anyone have a clue as to what the problem is and how to fix it?

Answer:

In my state, it is a fire code to replace them every ten years in commercial and industrial settings. I replace mine every 6 years. My family's worth it.
Wire disconnect. Maybe its suppose to flash when armed.
There are different types of alarm systems. Sound and Silent. Sound is used primarly in Residential homes and Condos, Silent is used primarly in business applications. Reason for Silent so as not to give the bad the advanced warning a response is in progress. Sound alarms in Homes is employed to scare or run the alleged thief off of the property. Both can work rather effectively.
