If I want to make my car run faster but don‘t want to spend too much to upgrade the whole exhaust sytem, changing the tail pipe help any?
Get a cold air intake or get a custom made exhaust at an auto shop. Custom made exhaust would be a cheap way for the exhaust.
Negative. You must upgrade the entire system to see any real 'substantial' gains. A tail pipe MUFFLER will do nothing but make your car loud for no reason. You can also upgrade to a higher flowing catalytic converter as opposed to 'gutting' it out. Since you're required to have one and they make aftermarket pieces, you might as well get one as its usually a major choke point in an exhaust system.
The tail pipe will have almost no effect on your car. Do the exhaust header pipes. That will give the most improvement first. Good Luck.
