I found a piece of sharp metal in my crushed ice drink which i made with my ice crusher what do i do?

i bought an ice crusher from john lewis a few months ago, i was crushing ice tonight for a refreshing drink and as i got to the end of my drink, at the bottom of the glass there was a sharp piece of metal, if i had swallowed this it could have cut my throat or even my mouth to pieces. i checked the ice crusher and found there was a piece of metal missing which crushes the ice, and the picec in my drink is the same shape.what do i do about this as it is a very serious matter?any answers are appreicatedthanksclaire

You have to report it, its too dangerous for anyone else who might have not even encountered this problem, i would get your money back and also my husband said leave it as is and get a lawyer could be a possible lawsuit.
First of all you need to determine if the fault is yours. Perhaps you didn't tighten down the crusher all the way? If you did, you contact the company who sold it, and then the better business bureau. Tell the company what happened and what YOU expect them to do about it. (ie. recall, refund, etc.) The fact that you found the piece of metal before it caused harm excludes you from any sort of damages the company would need to pay to you, because it didn't cause any harm to you or your child. The fact that it 'could have' is irrelevant because the fact is that it didn't. Then you contact the Better Business Bureau and explain to them what happened and suggest to them what you want done about it.
