Question:

I hate my loft bed!!?

I hate my bed to death! I know your bed is supposed to be your place to relax but it isn't relaxing climbing a ladder every night to get to bed. It's so hard to make my bed and it makes me really upset :( please help

Answer:

I built my first loft bed when I was in high school. It had a closet/wardrobe under it. I built another in college that had a desk under it. I really liked both of them, as they gave me a lot more space in cramped quarters. They are no different than sleeping on the top bunk, which I always enjoyed. I liked the fact that the desk space was partially enclosed, so I could hang stuff over/around my computer without damaging the walls and ceiling.
Get loft stairs instead. Yes. Get ply wood and 2 by 4 boards. Cut the ply wood for the sides in the stair shape. Re-inforce it by nailing sections of board as a frame. Cover the stairs with a soft luxoriuos carpet secured to the botom of each stair. Attach beautiful wooden carved decorations or 'half round' moulding to the sides of the stairs paint them all a nice color. Sew the the fittted and top sheet together at the bottom egdes. Just a few stitches left, center and right. This keeps the sheets straight on the bed. A thick comforter hides every wrinkle a sheet makes with no need to smooth them out.
cut the legs off so it only about 3 or 4 feet high. put your matress on the floor and pile your junk on the loft bed. When no one is home . Take someone elses bed and put it in your room and put the loft bed in their room :)
