Question:

I have a 55 gal tank,Ive done freshwater,Id like to try saltwater.?

Can anyone tell me how much it costs to set up and maintain a 55 gal saltwater tank? I want to start out pretty basic.

Answer:

It's fairly exspensive to convert fresh to salt, not to mention your going to hae a lot of bulky add ons. My advice would be to go on craigs list and see if anyone localy is getting out of the hobby and pick up there equipment cheaper than converting yours. It is just easier to maintain when you have a marine ready fish tank with plumbing set up for sump. I got my 150 gall+double1500wt mh lighting and ballast+calc reactor(you don't need one)cabinet+sump and pump for 250
You can't. Unless, of course, you find a way to remove all the black dye from the garment and then work from there. I think the best bet is to go to a thrift store and obtain a light tan one and work with fabric dyes from that point.
I want a purple trench coat, but I'm not going to risk ruining my black one, it has to much sentimental value to me and I could never risk ******* it up.
Do you have your salt-water fish yet?
