Question:

Best carpet cleaning cleaners.?

I have a bissel carpet shampooer. I use that wit hot water and the bissel cleaning solution... Which is okay working.. But I need to DEEP clean my carpets. Whats the best cleaning solutions I can use in my shampooer or pour directly on the stains? The stains are mostly pet stains (no odor) and the stairs get bad because of all the foot traffic. Any diy home remedies or anything really, thanks!

Answer:

I usually use a strong (50:50) mix of water vinegar to use as a pre-treater. I put it in a spray bottle spray it on the spots. I make my own carpet shampoo with Zote soap. I've found it works a lot better than the store-bought shampoos. I grate a bar of Zote--or better yet, use Zote flakes if you can find them in your area-- mix a couple tablespoons in water, shake til combined fill my shampoo reservoir. I also add vinegar to the water in the machine. I have the Bissell Pro-Heat.
Most would have terrible fumes../ When I owned a carpet cleaner.. I tried a laundry detergent..but it required alot of extra rinseing../ ..I also tried ammonia..Clear ammonia..and the fumes were really strong.. I used a Spray Bottle--and did small patches../ Now-a-days..I use sectional carpeting.. ..and I have a place in the bath tub..to hang them straight up.. I use PineSOL..I spray them with a plastic bottle sprayer..and I have a hose to connect to the bathroom sink..for rinsing..it takes all week to do all the carpeting--allowing for the dry time../ === You might try Scrubbing Bubbles..bathroom cleaner../ ..there is a slight fume--odor But the cleaning strength is the best.
Use Quick 'n Brite (walmart has it) to completely remove the stain and then get an enzymatic cleaner at a pet store to completely remove the scent. Neither will do the job of the other, you need both. Carpet cleaner may get the stain out but the odor will still be there for your dog to detect and return to. Hopefully you don't have a light carpet because if you do, forget it, nothing works.
Windex okorder .
I've had my own carpet cleaner for years, and I like to go to the janitorial aisle of a big box hardware store and buy the off-brand gallon-size carpet cleaner. It's cheaper than the name brands (which are close to $20 now) and better. To get the deep stains, the trick is to pre-soak them with a mixture of the carpet cleaner and Oxi-Clean (assuming your carpet is not wool, in which case you cannot use Oxi-Clean). Let the cleaning solution sit there for a while, then go over it with the carpet cleaner. Finally, for those stained and extra dirty areas, there's value in finishing the process by placing old towels and the carpet and standing on them to soak up any remaining moisture (dirty water). Best of luck.
