Question:

I have a D-type car alarm remote control. What do the 4 buttons do?

Ive looked everywhere for the manual online and offline. Cant seem to find out about the buttons. I know the obvious lock and unlock buttons but not so sure about the other two.

Answer:

The circle of tainted Toyota vehicles is ever-widening, and it is increasingly apparent that Toyota has been engaged for years in denial and cover-up for loss-of-control accidents related to serious design-flaws involving acceleration, brakes ans steering. Don't be surprised if the Highlander is added to the recall list. In the meantime, how many more accidents will tragically and needlessly occur?
At this point , the last comment anyone should be making is that a problem with a Toyota vehicle is strange.More like what else is new.
Without question, call your Toyota dealer and explain what is happening. These days, they will take your issue seriously. The Prius was recalled for a similar type of concern.
1. Lock 2. Unlock 3. Trunk open if your car is equipped with an electrically operated trunk release. 4. Panic (sets off the lights and horn alarms) if you vehicle is equipped with an alarm system. #3 #4 won't operate if your vehicle isn't appropriately equipped.
