Question:

I have a decorative candle with clear plastic film over it. Am I supposed to remove the plastic?

The plastic on the bottom of this candle is already coming off a little bit at the bottom. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to remove it or if the plastic is designed to stay on the candle even when used. Please explain "keep it on" or "remove it" answers. Thanks.

Answer:

Remove it before you burn the candle unless you want a big fire!!
Yes, or you will stink up the house with a burned plastic smell.
well my friend always buy all kinds f candles and she always removes the plastic wraper that comes with the candle so i sy remove the plasric besides it wouldnt look right hot melting wax mixed with melted plastic...= )p
Yes,remove the plastic. Also, are you superstitious. Some people believe it is bad luck to have an unburned candle in the house. If they want the candle for decoration, they light it and quickly blow it out, for good luck. I don`t know where this superstition originated, maybe from incense used in so many religious ceremonies. Anyway, just a bit of trivia. (I don`t believe in it, myself).
The plastic will help keep the scent in a candle and keep it clean if it is being stored; if not, it can be removed.
