The water dispenser tube on the outside front has a hard yellow substance on the end of the tube. I don't know what it is or how to get the tube out to clean it.
Sounds like sulphur. You must have sulphur in your water. Scrap it off and expect to have to do it again. Good luck I believe the GE models the tube is foamed in place not changable by itself. The entire door would have to be changed out. very expenssive. Try a small bottle type brush to clear it. Good luck
