Hi,I have been a roofer for over 20 years installing hundreds of Velux type roof windows but i know that my idea is / quicker and easier for the roofer to fit / needs no flashings / and sits lower to the roof than any other roof window I know but who can I trust with the idea and I have no money.Can anyone point me in the right direction as I am a bit stuck to who to tell about the idea?
If it's a new idea you probably want to get a patent on it first before you start talking to people. You would be amazed at how cutthroat some people are, you don't want to be just starting to get off the ground with your idea and find out that one of the people you showed your design to is already selling the product and you can't do anything because you didn't have a patent on it.
dont tell it to people because they will take the idea. Draw up your designs, construct a rough prototype then try it out. If it works, sell them on the internet. Dont go to another company with the idea. They will say thanks and take your idea and you will lose any potential cash.
