Question:

i have kenmore water heater from sears, with auto pilot light, which it keep turning off, any suggestion ?

sears told me it will take 2 weeks to get parts (los angeles) is this normal ?

Answer:

Here on the east coast it take 1 day to get that fixed. Wait for them.
not sure what you mean by auto pilot lite. Does it have a 120 volt plug into wall socket? If so, Idon't know about them, if not, e-mail me thru answers and I can help you. sears doesn't make thier own WH's. someone else does and i've probably fixed them
first you need to know if it is gas or elec. Then you need to see if you registered the heater to make sure the warranties is active.and if its going to take that long you should ask sears who repairs or covers their warranty then call them.O if you didn't register the heater THEY WILL CHARGE YOU a trip fee, parts and labor.and one one more thing.labor usually is not covered in the warranty. but it can just be a thermal coupler
1st ,its not normal for the pilot to be acting that way.if its a new one and sears installed it they should come out and replace it,no questions ask.i have friends that work for sears(i live in AL.) and from some of the things they tell me,they change stuff out for alot less than that, especially if its gonna take that long to get parts
