I HAVE OLD COPPER PIPE TURNING GREEN AND DIRTY INSIDE. CAN I STILL USE FOR MY HOME PLUMBING?

Answer:

Clean it out, let it dry and sand the ends very well before sweating and it should be fine.
depends alot on your experiance. map is faster, but u can burn fittings if not carefull. propane is a little easier 2 control. heat the fitting, not the pipe and apply solder when it will melt on pipe.
Clean the inside with vinegar and make sure to clean the ends and the inside of the fittings very good with a brush and emery cloth.
I would use vinegar and salt, clean the pipes out, rinse with water and they will be good as new. Depending on your water the inside of the pipes will become tarnished anyways, so just make sure there is no debris in the inside.
Map gets far hotter and in a pinch you can silver solder with it
