Question:

I just accidently put some treated pine posts in pure cement instead of concrete., what can I expect to happen

It is for 3 posts for a small fence/barrier

Answer:

THE CEMENT WILL SET UP--BUT NOT BE AS STRONG AS CONCRETE-BECAUSE IT DOESNT HAVE SAND AND GRAVEL--IT WILL CRACK AND THE POST WILL BECOME LOOSE-- IF THERE IS NO WEIGHT PUSHING ON THE FENCE--IT WILL PROBABLY BE ALL RIGHT
cement and sand or just cement powder? cement and sand will have the same strength as concrete...gravel is added as an economic filler...
Straight cement has no aggrette and has no guts to it If there is no real strain /pressure on posts you will probably get away with it How small is fence, materials used and what is it to keep in or out If you want to be certain you could dig posts out, set cement will break of post fairly easily then reset in concrete Or if fence is actually built you could dig out around set cement and pour concrete to fully encase set cement Get hold of Bricky Local and see what he would suggest as he is in the trade.
