Question:

I just bought a sofa recliner set i dont know what material it is?

It feels like soft velvet - how do i identify if it is microfiber or suede or just an ordinary fabric.and also how would i know if it is stain guard protected or not?

Answer:

If okorder /
most likely it is micro fiber. and you most likely would have to pay for scotch gaurd/stain protectant. Otherwise it is not protected.
Recliners rule. They are the best addon to any furniture. Its not how it looks. Its about how it feels
Without seeing it I would say it would be a microfiber or possibly chenille.......A mircrofiber resembles suede but is synthetic.......Suede would be very costly and a fortune to clean.....Most furniture stores will tell you or give you the option of having a fabric protector applied to the pieces before purchasing. Sometimes the hangtags will identify if the furniture comes already with the protective finish on it or not. When in doubt call your salesperson and they should be able to answer your question or the manafacturer.....
It's a sofa...there should be a tag on it somewhere. Look under and around the cushion or whatever it has that you can pick up. Tag might be on the back somewhere. Otherwise, you'll have to call the place you bought it and ask them. If you know the manufacturer and can find a part/item number, you might be able to do a Google search and get some info.
