Question:

i just vacuumed my snake wat shoud i do?

is there a way i can get him out or he is pretty much dead? he went up thru the tube extention thingy while i was vacuuming on accident so help me please

Answer:

If it's stuck in the tube, pull it off and carefully cut down til you reach the head or tail, then even more carefully cut the tube all the way til the snake is released, better to ruin the tube than kill the snake, they are pretty hardy, so it may still be alive. When you get it out, check from head to tail for any injury and then bathe it in luke warm water to clean and rehydrate. Don't put the head under the water. Be prepared for an upset snake, so I recommend not handling for a couple of days and keep an eye on its next shed to make sure it comes of in one piece.
im sorry but how did you vacuum a snake.
How would you vacuum up a snake, usually your snake should be in the cage rather than running around the house. If this does happen to be serious, I would try to open the vacuum and open the bag where all the dust and what not goes into.
Well take him/her out! But gently pull him out slowly if he/she is alive. Don't yank, and just do it slowly in a twisting motion.
it would really depend on what sort of vacuum you have. if he IS alive, the sooner you get him out the better, cause he could very quickly sufficate in all the dust. if he IS dead... well, a lot of vacuum cleaners have little choppy bits to deal with the biggest bits, so... be careful of what you might find. it might not be pretty. i'm assuming you weren't so stupid as to vacuum the floor really close to the snake, right? were you being really lazy and vacuuming out his tank without taking the time to move him out of it first? i've done that with my geckos i moved my geckos though) and the extra crickets are often seen jumping around inside the dust bag, alive and annoyed. so seriously, it depends on your vacuum.
