I would definitely start by interviewing anyone else who lives in the home or who is a regular guest about what is going on. There could be a very simple explanation of someone else moving things around, or shutting/opening the door without you realizing it. If that doesn't pan out, you might want to set up a security camera inside and/or outside the bathroom and record while no one is around. Let everyone know its there, lol! There are multiple options for what kinda camera to use, and there's plenty of options in regards to recording and uploading the videoyou can even arrange to watch the footage live from your cell phone or other computer. Again, just please make sure that you're only recording when no one is around and that everyone knows not to go in there during times when the camera is rolling, lol. Keeping a journal of when any suspected activity happens will help you narrow down the best times to record, and may also help you spot patterns that will lead you to discovering natural explanations that are causing false positives. And lastly, it wouldn't hurt to call in a plumber and/or electrician.just to make sure everything is working properly. it would be helpful if you list what kind of bird egg you have, assuming that it is a bird egg. anyways the best that you can do without an incubator would be to get a large box or tank you can use, there should be a led. cut a hole at the top of the box to place the bulb in head first, you are going to need a thermometer to test the temperature of the incubator, there should also be a water dish in the incubator for the purpose of humidity to prevent the egg from drying out provide bedding for the egg and the best thing to do is to find a timer that will automatically shut off the lamp every so often to prevent over heating. the overall temperature in the incubator should be between 99.5 too 103 F to do this you should watch and time the temperature in the incubator until it reaches the right degree, this way you can see how long it takes for the incubator to reach the right temperature and then set your timer for the amount of minutes you recorded. eggs should be turned twice a day to prevent the embryo from settling. this is a long shot but you can try in out. i hope everything goes well.
