Question:

Are Elevator Cores Always Square?

I'm not sure if Is called the Elevator Shaft, or the Elevator coreBut I'm not talking abut the elevator shaftI'm talking about the tube that houses the elevatorsLike in The Twin Towers of the WTC there was a core up the middle of the building that housed elevators, stairs, restroomsEtcNow, I'm designing a building for my architecture class, but it isnt a square like the twin towersso I'm wondering what shape the core can be and where i can place the elevators and stairs?

Answer:

You may not be able toThe glue can seep into the fibersTry freezing it and try to chip it off.
if you mean internal ones I'm not sure but a lot of buildings have elevators (usually glass) on the outside and these are usually semi circular - round to the front (outside) but flat to the back for the doors
