Question:

New House. help with alarm system.?

I moved into a house that has an alarm system. However the panels have no model number of any kind for me to look up online how to use the system. In particular I need to change the alarm code. I know I can just call an alarm company but I'd like to do this myself if possible. Any advise?

I just read a book on Space Clearing by Kingston, and it was mentioned there that fluorescent lamps are indeed harmful to health, but due to economic reasons many people are still using it. Even in my office, it is still being used. But I'm not using any in my own house for health reasons.
Put your expended bulbs in the trash. They are considered universal waste as opposed to hazardous waste. Try not to break them. They contain mercury vapors that are very hazardous to critters and folks. I don't know if you are collecting them as a housekeeping issue or as some sort of environmental clean up project. Regardless, be very careful handling the bulbs, if they are broken try not to cut yourself, use a Kevlar glove or some other type of safety glove that protect against cuts, Leather at a minimum. Also put on a nitrile glove under your outer protective layer as a barrier to the chemicals. Mercury is very dangerous to you, so be careful stopping around broken bulbs. See the link for more information and the other link for an Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Keep in mind that fluorescent bulbs are a positive source of light, they use less energy to generate more lumens of light.
