Question:

I need a good value for money motorcycle disc brake lock.?

I‘m new to riding i am 16 atm and have just purchased a Yamaha YZF R125 ( which i can‘t wait to ride). So over the next few days/weeks i will be asking some nooby questions. Firstly i need to know a good, cheapish, reliable and good value for money disc brake lock ? Thanks in advance

Answer:

Do you have a slotted disc? Master lock with as big a hasp (hook) as you can fit in the disc. Even locked 2 men can just pick it up and throw it the back of a pickup or van. The idea is DETERRENCE not prevention, make it more trouble, if they want it bad enuff they will get it.
the oxford titan disc lock is good less then ?13 get a reminder cable with it so you dont forget its on

If you are looking for bike security, rather than a disc brake lock, get about 6 or 8 feet of heavy hardened steel chain and commercial grade padlock, and lock the bike, wheels and frame, to an immovable object. Disc locks don't prevent bike thefts. 2 guys and a pickup truck and it's still gone in 15 seconds.
