Question:

I need help with replacing windshield wipers?

I have a 1995, Ford 250, XLT, 7.5. All I want to do is replace the windshield wipers. And I just can not seem to do it. Must I purchase the whole mental piece to do so? Or can I just purchase the blade? I want to just place in the blades but it will not release. What am I doing wrong. Need help very much thanks in advance. I got 18 blades from walmart and I dont know how to use it. Please help me

Answer:

usually, there is a metal clip at the end of the blade, it should release by squeezing it together, but they can be a real pain. whenever i do it, i just change the whole metal peace. if you do get it on though, make sure its not gonna slide off. if it dose, its gonna scratch your windshield
At the base of the blade there should be a little clip attaching it to the metal bracket, usually 2 little metal tabs. Push these tabs in, and the blade should slide out. If you can't get it out cut the base of the blade off with scissors, then it will come right out, though it might be held in with a lot of grime, if so, just brute force it.
Take 'em back to Wall Mart. You should be ashamed for shopping there and you got what you deserved. No go to Auto Zone and buy a pair there. The mental piece is actually metal and yes you buy it all. The nice kid will even install them for you free! then you'll have mental peace.
