Question:

Why doesnt my built in SD card reader dont show up on my computer?

I put the card in and it doesnt show up pn the computer.

Answer:

Either reinstall your card reader drivers, or in some cases, I too have had cards that my computer just refused to read. It is probably in a format that is unreadable by your operating system, try formatting it to FAT file system. You will lose everything on it though.
possibly you dont have the right driver put in. precise click my computer and flow to gadget manager. look on your gadget. if its no longer listed then that is broken or no longer linked proper. no matter if that is, then precise click the gadget and click replace driver or flow for your pcs internet website and search for the motive force there.
if your reader doesn't show, you need to reinstall the chipset and card reader drivers. If your reader is there, but your card isn't it could be a bad reader, a bad card, an improperly formatted card, a bad adapter or MOST LIKELY you are using a SDHC card in an SD reader. MOST computers use SD, most cell phones use sdhc. sdhc is backwards compatible but Computers don't have the same push for miniaturization that cell phones do. ALSO many cell phone mfgrs lock out reading data such as pics and music on other devices because they want you to pay for a plan so they set the firmware to not allow transfer. Look for the SD or SDHC logo on your card. Try your card in another device
