It has been working fine for about a month, a couple of days ago my old Mercury thermostat broke and I replaced it with a cheap modern Honeywell thermostat. Now my blower motor will only run about 3 hours gradually slowing to a stop. I turn it off for a few hours and it is good for a few more hours, could it be the thermostat? There were NO problems before the thermostat change and I returned the 1st one for and identical 2nd thermostat and the same thing happened.
If your old one had mercury switch you need to replace with same type. If new one is digital wont work properly.
