do nothing, she bought as is, when you buy something on craigs list the consumer knows that these items are used. Tell her sorry chairle....
You have two choices: 1) If you dont want the rug back you tell her that you are sorry you are not happy with your rug but the sale is final so please leave me alone. If she doesnt call the police. 2) Take it back and return the money.
Did you smoke or have pets in your home? Unless you misrepresented the rug to the buyer in some way, such as not telling her the rug was the cat's bathroom or not telling her the rug had been flooded with dog urine, you are not obligated to do a thing. Often, and I really mean often, some people will experience buyer's remorse and want their money back. If you know the rug was in good condition and you represented it as such, don't give the money back. They might take you to court, but again they will have to prove you lied about the rug when you sold it to them. This aggravation is part of doing business.
