Question:

I swallowed one of my brackets?? (braces)?

I was eating tortilla chips, and so after i went to check to see where the food got stuck. I then realized that I was missing one of my brackets. The bracket isn't connected with the wire. It's the teeth next to my front two teeth. Should I schedule and appointment still even though it isn't connected with the wire? I don't really see why they put the bracket in there if the wire isn't connected to it.

Answer:

I think you should check just in CASE because if you don't get it check you think you may not need them but sooner or later you might
go to the orthadontist so they can put another one on. the tortia probably broke it off. your not supposed to eat those.
It might have already been missing and you didn't notice it. Schedule an appointment and at least ask about it. They'll fix it or explain.
Your i teeth most likely popped out of your gums or where completely messed up like mine where. They put like i dont even remember it was a year ago now, they put like a wire there then they put a bracket a few months later and then they put a wire on when it was close enough, its probably nothing to worry about but just in case your case is diff than mine give them a call.
It sounds like the bracket isn't actively moving your teeth if it's not connected to the wire. You probably don't need to schedule another appointment, but I would call your orthodontist's office and warn them you lost a bracket so they can allow for a little extra time at your next appointment to reattach the bracket (unless of course you're almost done with braces, which may have been the reason the bracket wasn't in the wire).
