I do not want to get burnt. Can anyone recommend any way I can accomplish this goal? Something I can have between my skin and the fire, perhaps? Or like, a fire that doesn'tburn?
A simple lawn mower and a shovel (they are always useful) will get you far. A gas can to hold the gas for your lawnmower. Really, it depends on the yard. Is there trees? Is so then maybe a saw or something to prune them would be helpful. Do you plan on planting flowers? If so then get a small garden shovel too. I would say the lawn mower and shovel are 1 must buys. You can buy all sorts of things for your yard and really depends on how much you want to spend.

It is a valve which is operated by a solenoid (electromagnet). Its purpose is to control the flow of a fluid electrically. As well as being very common in industrial machinery (much of which is powered by compressed air, but controlled by electronics) you may well find solenoid valves in home appliances. There is one in a dishwasher and two in most washing machines (one each in the hot and cold supplies). On expensive machines, the solenoid valves are fitted at the tap end of the hoses, so there is no water in the hoses when the machine is idle). Solenoid valves are also used in gas boilers, to control the flow of gas to the burner. A heating appliance with a flame-failure detector uses a special high-sensitivity solenoid valve, which is operated by the tiny current generated by a thermocouple in the flame but can also be operated manually (via the priming button) to allow the burner to be lit in the first place.
