Question:

I want to connect speakers.?

I just bought new speakers for my pc, but i also want to have the manufacturer speakers connected, ho wcan i do that? I have tried on my motherboards outputs but only the center one emmits sound, why? Can the other outputs used for my other speakers?

Answer:

Well, you first have to identify the output/input receptacles as to what they are used for. You'd be better off looking at your User's manual or Quick connect diagram and they should tell you how to connect your speakers to the computer. If you try to connect two sets of speakers to your computer, you can cause excessive loads to the circuit and cause damage to the sound chip unless it's design for it. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Why would you want to connect two sets of speakers in the first place? Are we only talking about Left and Right channel speakers only?
Some sound cards allow you to change what the other jacks do. Through the intel extreme audio settings i can change the mic and line in from inputs to an output. You can always get a double adapter plug that goes from a 3.5mm stereo plug and goes to a 2 3.5mm stereo jacks, this makes the same audio come out from both of the sets of speakers.
