Question:

I want to learn more about motorcycles?

I am a complete beginner. I know absolutely nothing about motorcycles. I was wondering what is the best magazine to learn from? Or what other way is best to learn about them? I want to learn everything about them.

Answer:

Cycle World is the best magazine for any motorcyclist. Last months issue had a story and review on the New Honda CBR250R. It is listed as an entry level sportbike. Would be a good choice for a first bike. They have riding tips for everyone and things you may not know as a begginer. For instance, did you know that when you put new tires on a motorcycle they are slick till they get broken in. Or, did you know that you never put armer all on a motorcycle. It makes the seat and tires so slick that operating the motorcycle is dangerous.
You will see NO gains from an CAI on a v6 just get the filter for the stock setup, if esthetically pleasing is what you're after then it's worth the money.
read magazines , books or articles . maybe where you live has a motorbike show ? try the biker forum
Take the motorcycle safety course in your state. Look it up under the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. It's cheap and lots of fun. They have their own motorcycles for you to learn on. One of the first questions they ask, is Can you ride a bicycle? You might think it's a joke, and it kinda is. I taught the class for five years and we actually had a couple people that couldn't. After the MSF class, look into a motorcycle repair class at the junior college. I learned the hard way, I bought junk bikes, took them apart, and put them back together. You can buy repair manuals for almost every bike there is.
As long as it fits you should not have a problem
